The Much awaited movie of Mohanlal 'Casanova' hit theatres on republic day.Casanovva released in 202 theaters in India on January 26, 2012 with simultaneous opening in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore and other Indian cities, along with 138 theaters in Kerala.Mohan lal - Roshan Andrrews duo is all set with a romantic action thriller film after Udayananu Tharam and Evidam Swargamanu.It stars Mohanlal, Shriya Saran, Lakshmi Rai, Sanjana, Jagathy Sreekumar, Lalu Alex and Shankar.
Casanova is surely a romantic visual treat rendered with some thrilling moments and actions.
The film is about Casanovva, a playboy who likes to mingle with girls. Casanovva is the owner of Casanovva’s Eternal Spring, an international chain of flower boutiques.The movie starts with a robbery attempt at a church museum by four crooked minds.The gang attemps for another robbery at a marriage function in Dubai ,impersonating as Staff of Casanova.Casanova, who is also attending marriage function happened to meet these robbers.Casanova knows this gang and had troubles with them earlier.With burning avenge in heart ,he sets out a manoevure to trap the robbers.For which ,he engages Lakshmi Rai and Bhavana to mislead them into love affairs.The movie advances with his throbbing attempt to entrap the gang.The second half of the movie rolls with flashback of his life ,about what persuaded him to run after these robbers.
The first half of the movie is pretty enjoyable with an awesome introduction of Mohanlal and thrilling chase stunts.The Second half mostly concentrates on flashback and Casanova's romance with Sameera (Shriya ).It seems to be dragging but includes many blowing scenes with excellent climax fighting scenes.Climax was melodramatic with unnecessary scenes ,never suiting to the film.Mohanlan enacted playboy role of Casanova with ease and stylishly.No other actor could portray the role of Casannovva with charm of Mohanlal.It's written for only one person - Mohanlal.Shriya Saran delivered good performances in the movie.As short ,Casanova is a Stylish Romantic film blended with thrilling action sequences.But owing to hype the film had and huge budget,Casanova could have done better.But it's worth watching one time.
