Popular Malayalam actress Samvrutha Sunil tied knot with Akhil Raj, a computer engineer working in the US, at the Vaava Cliff House in Kannur on November 1, 2012.

The  marriage took place in the presence of close friends in the industry and  politicians. Lal Jose, actors Kunchan and Anne Augustine attended the wedding.

Having made her debut in 2004 through the film Rasikan directed by her mentor Lal Jose, she has starred in over 30 Malayalam films and in a few Telugu and Tamil films. She established herself as one of the leading actresses in Malayalam cinema with popular hits like  Arabikkatha , Chocolate, Thirakkatha , Boomi Malayalam , Cocktail, Manikyakkallu , Swapna Sanchari , and Diamond Necklace.

Akhil is a software engineer from Kozhikode, who works in the USA. Even though the ceremony was in November 2012, their wedding registration took place in 2011.This was done so that she would get a visa to settle in the US by the time their wedding ceremony took place.
Post marriage, Samvrutha has decided to take break from film career .

Maruti Launches ERTIGA , its first Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) - Pictures of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and details

The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Thursday launched its compact multi purpose vehicle Ertiga making entry to multi- utility vehicles  (MUV) segment.The global launch of the car was held in New Delhi.

The petrol variant of Ertiga  is priced between Rs 5.89 lakh and Rs 7.30 lakh, while the diesel option will cost between Rs 7.30 lakh and Rs 8.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

While the petrol variant is powered with a 1.4 litre engine, the diesel one will have a 1.3 litre powertrain. The company said the petrol variant delivers a fuel economy of 16.02 kmpl and the diesel one gives 20.77 kmpl.

This is a family vehicle but for multiple purposes and we are tyring to create a new segment with the Ertiga," Roy said. The Ertiga will be in the same MPV segment as Toyota's 'Innova' and Mahindra & Mahindra's 'Xylo. MSI Chief General Manager (Parts & Accessories) Amitava Roy said.

Having chemotherapy for a malignant lung tumour, the Indian Star cricketer Yuvraj Singh has posted his latest picture after the treatment on Twitter.Star has gone bald due to after-effects of chemotherapy.

Yuvi tweeted “Finally the hair has gone! But #livstrong #yuvstrong,” ,alongwith a link to latest picture of him.

Earlier ,Yuvraj has been diagonized with malignant tumour and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in the Cancer Research Institute in Boston.

“I will fight and come back as a stronger man cause I have the prayers of my nation! Thank you to the media for their support and respecting my privacy,” Yuvraj had written earlier.

PNR status Enquiry - How to check PNR status online - Check your Ticket Status (PNR) online

If you are a train passenger ,you may be familiar with term 'PNR'.Passenger Name Record ( PNR ) is a record in the  database of a computer reservation system (CRS) that contains the itinerary for a passenger, or a group of passengers traveling together.

This system has been followed by the Indian Railways while making ticket reservation through internet or at ticket counters.When a passenger books an itinerary, the travel agent or travel website user will create a PNR in the computer reservation system it uses.

If you are using IRCTC official portal to reserve train tickets,you must register with IRCTC and can login with provided username and password.You could easily enter the source and destination station names or codes , select category , and  find if there is a train available running between those two stations. You can book the train ticket for you if available.

After booking ,you will assigned a  unique number  (PNR) generated after the booking of the tickets.Earlier ,PNR status was either found at the station enquiry counter or through Indian Railways customer care number.Now PNR status enquiry can be done online.You are able to find the update on your IRCTC PNR Status by logging into your IRCTC account, or  by going to number of other websites that offer PNR Status Enquiry.

There are several ways to check the PNR status of your reservation.

1. Using Indian Railways customer care number 139  and provide your 10 digits unique PNR number printed on the train ticket ( top left corner ).

2. Using SMS . SMS the word PNR followed by its ten digits of PNR status , to 139 or 5676747.

3. Check the PNR status Online by logging into your IRCTC account, or through websites that offer PNR Status Enquiry like here

 Genelia was seen wearing a mehroon and gold lehenga for the wedding while Groom Riteish wore a white sherwani and red turban. The couple got married in both traditional Maharashtrian way and Christian way. Prior to wedding ceremony ,the had a pre-wedding party  on January 24, 2012 followed by a sangeet ceremony at Taj Lands End hotel in Mumbai on January 31, 2012 in a grand manner. 

The wedding was held in traditional Marathi style and event gathered bigwigs from the film and political world.From B-Town,celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan,Akshay Kumar, Ashish Chowdhary, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sajid Nadiadwala, Satish Shah Ajay Devgn ,Kajoland Asin  were present.Political leaders like  Sharad Pawar, Prithviraj Chavan, Praful Patel were also present to shower blessings on the newly weds.

 Ritesh Deshmukh is the son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, the Union Minister for Science, Technology and Earth Sciences, Government of India, and the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Riteish and Genelia first met while shooting their debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003.Though they both kept their relationship status low, but later it was big talk of B-Town.The couple announced their  love for each other  on Twitter last year Last year only on twitter.

She made her acting debut in Malayalam with Positive (2008) and debuted the following year in Tamil with Naadodigal, which emerged a critical and commercial success.Ananya rose to fame, with her performance in the film being appreciated. The film Shikkar alongside Mohanlal, gave her a big break in Malayalam.In 2011, Ananya played one of the female lead roles in Engeyum Eppodhum, which received rave reviews and became a super hit.
